We are currently seeking an experienced Carpenter to join the Zapti team. You will be working alongside our maintenance team (you will be required to be on the tools) where no two days will ever be the same .

You will complete scheduled Maintenance, reactive repairs to residential and commercial properties, Minor home modifications such as the installation of handrails and ramps.

Reporting directly to the Facility Manager , the carpenter will undertake all aspects of building maintenance / projects as required. The main objectives of the role is to ensure that Zapti's Service offerings are Safe, Engaging, Value for Money and Sustainable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Duties include but are not limited to:)

  • Undertake all aspects of Building Maintenance / projects as required.
  • Provide a high standard of customer service to clients.
  • Perform daily and reactive maintenance in accordance with requirements
  • Work collaboratively with the team to complete work within specified timelines
  • Participate in the provision of after hours emergency maintenance is required including working overtime if the need arises.
  • Provide assistance and advice to contractors as directed.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and clients regarding repair schedules and access to minimise disruptions to day to day operations.
  • Identify and escalate emerging risks (including regulatory and compliance issues) and threats in a timely and constructive manner to ensure risks are effectively managed
  • WHS monthly inspections as required
  • Provide exceptional customer service to Zapti clients, building strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring high levels of communication.
  • Identify and support implementation of cost saves, innovation and best practice.
  • Ensure quality service from start to finish in all aspects of Zapti service offerings.


  • Trade qualification in carpentry.
  • Contractor licence and White card.
  • A Qualified Supervisor certificate.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of building and construction related WHS guidelines.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence
  • Current Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Check and Police Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement in the role are required.
  • Experience working within the disability field while not essential would be highly regarded.
